Hi, I’m MARINA LIV-SEXTON.

I'm the founder of NutriLiv, where I offer specialist nutrition and lifestyle advice with a particular focus on women's health, PCOS, and fertility.

As a naturopathic nutritional therapist, I'm registered with The Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and a member of The Association of Naturopathic Practitioners (ANP). I'm currently furthering my expertise through Tanya Borowsky's mentorship programme and studying a postgraduate specialisation in Fertility and Functional Nutrition, ensuring you receive the most current, evidence-based care tailored to your individual needs.

My STORY

A slice of toasted bread topped with smoked salmon, crumbled cheese, and fresh herbs on a white plate.

My journey into nutritional therapy began in an unexpected place – the kitchen. While studying Culinary Arts, I became fascinated by how food could transform not just flavours, but entire experiences. I found myself asking deeper questions: What makes some ingredients more nourishing than others? How does what we eat affect how we feel?

Those questions became personal when my GP diagnosed me with PCOS and immediately suggested Metformin. Sitting in that appointment, I felt like I was being handed a prescription without understanding the why behind my symptoms. The high testosterone, the insulin resistance – I knew there had to be more to the story than just managing symptoms with medication.

That moment changed everything. I made a decision that would change my life. I was going to understand what was happening in my body, and I was going to find a way to address the root causes, not just mask the symptoms.

This led me to the College of Naturopathic Medicine, where I immersed myself in functional medicine and naturopathic approaches. I believed deeply that if I could understand what was causing my issues, I could heal them. And I was right – through nutrition and lifestyle changes, I was able to transform my health and reverse my symptoms.

That personal healing journey opened my eyes to something profound: our bodies have an incredible capacity to heal when given the right support. Now, as a qualified Nutritional Therapist, I bring that same curiosity, determination, and hope to every client I work with. I'm particularly drawn to women's health and fertility – areas where I've seen firsthand how powerful the right nutritional approach can be. I know what it feels like to have symptoms dismissed or to feel like you're not being heard. I understand the frustration of wanting answers, not just quick fixes.

When you work with me, you're not just getting someone with qualifications – you're working with someone who has walked a similar path.
